When we arrived we were not told that the hot water was not working so when we went o have a shower before dinner there was no hot water, when we enquired we were told an engineer had been called, later on when we enquired when the hot water would be working again we got no apology or any offer of compensation, not good enough!!

The hotel is actually quite difficult to find if you are on foot.
Rooms are incredibly small and very "IKEA" ish.
Very badly designed room having to step round things and each other. Bed was uncomfortable, could feel the springs or should I say spring I was lying on.
I thought the sink was blocked but it was just very slow to drain away - I tried to clear the U pipe but it was clear and by the time you had a shower you were still standing ankle deep in water.
However, the adjoining restuarant which I believe is independant gave a very good breakfast.

The lift was out of order, and we were on the 4th floor which was fine for us as we were young but a disadvantage for any elderly guests.

The Lift wasn't working and having to go up to the fourth floor by the stairs was difficult as I am an asthma sufferer.

The hotel and the staff were great managed to get all the rooms ready for us when we checked in, very helpful and booked taxis for us, one the bedrooms was really dirty which was a shame but we did report this but as we were there for 1 night it wasnt a huge problem and they did apologise.

It is great for getting bus from airport as on the main route into Edinburgh, not alot around the immediate area by the hotel but the centre is very close by and only about 15-20 min walk away, must see the castle and the city is just amazing, lots going on and plenty of lovely places to eat and drink recommend Zizzi Restaurant on Queensferry Road, Italian lovely food and service is fab!
